The Site of the Former Jiangxi Soviet General Trade Union in Meibei is a cultural heritage protection unit of Jiangxi Province.

Site of the Former Jiangxi Soviet General Trade Union in Meibei. In March 2018, it was designated as part of the sixth batch of Provincial Cultural Heritage Protection Units in Jiangxi Province.

During the 1920s and 1930s, this Gan-style residence hosted an important meeting in the history of the Chinese Communist Party — the “February 7th” Meeting — and the site still stands today. It preserves the footprints of revolutionaries such as Mao Zedong, Zhu De, and Zeng Shan. The former sites of the Fourth Red Army, the Jiangxi Soviet General Trade Union, and the former residences of Mao Zedong and others have injected new meaning into this ancient architecture. Renowned Republic generals such as Liang Xingchu, Liang Bihuo, and Liang Renjie, as well as revolutionary martyr Liang Yiqing, were all from Meibei Village.
