Beijiang River Source

According to *A Brief History of Pearl River Water Conservancy*, “The Beijiang River, a tributary of the Pearl River, originates from Daomakeng in Youshan Mountain, Xinfeng County, Jiangxi Province. It flows through Nanxiong City and Shixing County in Guangdong Province, meets the Wu River in Shaoguan, then flows southward through Qujiang and Qingyuan before entering the Pearl River Delta.” The Daomakeng scenic area is located on the eastern side of Youshan Mountain’s main peak, surrounded by towering peaks, lush forests, and crystal-clear springs. In recent years, many experts, students, and tourists from Guangzhou, Foshan, Qingyuan, Zhaoqing, and Shaoguan have visited the source of the Beijiang River for exploration and study.
