Wuzhifeng National Forest Park features rich and varied forest vegetation and mountain landscapes, along with well-protected ecological conditions. It has extensive areas of secondary forests, primeval woodlands, and bamboo-covered mountains. From afar, the dense greenery paints a series of forest landscapes that are both soothing and mesmerizing. Beyond the forests and bamboo, the Wuzhifeng area is home to numerous unique peaks and rocks, with drifting clouds among the valleys and deep ravines. The Wuzhifeng peak itself resembles a divine pillar reaching the sky, its five finger-like formations even more vivid and lifelike than Hainan’s Wuzhishan, leaving visitors in awe. Within the vicinity of Wuzhifeng, there are over 50 rock formations and landscapes such as Yingpan Mountain, granite stone forests, peculiar cliffs, gorge rafting spots, Pangu Flying Rock, Five Odd Rocks, and General Rock—each strikingly realistic and vividly shaped. The area also contains hot springs with water temperatures around 42°C, suitable for therapeutic bathing.

Wuzhifeng National Forest Park is covered with ancient towering trees and teems with biodiversity. It preserves a significant amount of vegetation from the Tertiary period. Major forest types include the Southern Yew forest, fir forests, and long-bracted Korean pine forests, among over 30 categories. The park hosts 1,380 species of higher plants across 138 families, including 5 species under national first-class protection, 22 under national second-class protection, and 78 under provincial protection—most of which remain in near-pristine or semi-pristine conditions.

The favorable ecological environment of Wuzhifeng National Forest Park provides a sanctuary for a wide range of wildlife. It is home to 7 species of national first-class protected animals such as leopards, yellow-bellied tragopans, golden eagles, sika deer, black muntjacs, and pythons, as well as over 10 species of national second-class protected animals like pangolins and macaques. The region serves as one of the main migratory routes for birds and has been designated as a global bird observation station.

Wuzhifeng Township: Located 70 kilometers from the county seat, Wuzhifeng Township derives its name from five interconnected peaks that resemble outstretched fingers. These naturally formed peaks rise proudly toward the sky, with the highest reaching an elevation of 1,607 meters. Viewed from afar, the Wuzhifeng peaks display a striking and vivid presence.

Designated as a tourism and exploration destination in 1994, the scenic area spans approximately 40 square miles. It includes Qiyun Mountain, known as the “Roof of Southern Jiangxi,” which stands at 2,061 meters above sea level with a towering presence that scrapes the heavens.
