Want to plan a beautiful island vacation, forget the daily grind of work, and escape the hustle and bustle of the city? Malaysia boasts countless islands, pristine white sandy beaches, and crystal-clear waters, most of which retain their untouched natural beauty. Whether it’s Redang Island, Lang Tengah Island, Penang, Langkawi, or the "Land Below the Wind" Sabah—most popular among Taiwanese tourists—each island offers a picturesque paradise that has long been a top choice for island holidays among European and American travelers, truly captivating the heart.

Malaysia’s islands boast enviable beauty. For instance, "Heart of the Ocean" Redang Island features breathtaking azure waters and fine white sands. Stretching along the Terengganu coastline toward the South China Sea, Redang Island is home to over 500 types of coral and 3,000 species of tropical fish, offering a vibrant underwater landscape. You can choose from water activities such as diving, fishing, or swimming, or leisurely stroll along the fine white beaches, feeling the soft sand tickle your toes. Or simply do nothing, unwind by the sea, and let your mind and soul enjoy a rare moment of tranquility. At night, the starry sky will leave you utterly enchanted.

Malaysia’s islands have also served as filming locations for many movies, the most famous being "Summer Holiday" starring Richie Jen and Sammi Cheng. The film crew chose five or six uniquely featured beaches on Redang Island to capture the perfect summer seaside scenery. Lang Tengah Island, next to Redang Island, was the filming location for "The Leap Year" starring Eddie Peng and Angelababy. The white sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters made the cast and crew feel as if they were in a romantic paradise.

Langkawi boasts 99 breathtaking natural attractions, but the most popular among visitors are the Langkawi SkyCab and the world’s longest curved suspension bridge. As the SkyCab slowly ascends, the stunning views of Langkawi unfold before your eyes. The world’s longest curved suspension bridge winds between two mountain peaks like a graceful arc—it is also the world’s first "cantilevered sky bridge," inviting thrill-seekers to test their courage. You can also ride the waves on Langkawi’s magnificent azure seas and pristine white beaches, awakening your love for the ocean. Penang is a melting pot of Chinese, Malay, and Western cultures, rich in historical and cultural heritage, such as the Penang City Hall—a globally recognized masterpiece of colonial architecture—and the Victoria Memorial Clock Tower, blending British clock tower design with Islamic Moorish domes. There’s also the century-old colonial-era street that has become the backdrop for numerous Hollywood films, offering a taste of exotic culture.

If you’re a fan of water activities, you can’t miss the year-round summer destination of "Land Below the Wind" Sabah. The Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park in Sabah features pristine, clean beaches and crystal-clear, jewel-like waters, making it one of the world’s rare unpolluted marine paradises. Here, you can experience thrilling water activities such as banana boat rides, jet skiing, or parasailing. You can also try the increasingly popular activity of seabed walking in Sabah in recent years—donning a glass helmet resembling a space mask that fills with oxygen to keep seawater out, allowing you to walk freely underwater and get up close with tropical fish, starfish, sea urchins, and other marine life while capturing stunning underwater scenery. Or, simply lie on the serene white sands for a relaxing sunbath, or take a leisurely walk along the fine white beach under the blue sky and white clouds, offering endless moments of tranquility. Additionally, Malaysia’s vibrant underwater world is home to some of the world’s most breathtaking sights, such as Sipadan Island and Layang-Layang Island, both ranked among the world’s top ten diving destinations. These islands are home to over 3,000 species of tropical fish, hundreds of coral varieties, endangered sea turtles, and thousands of barracudas—making them dream dive spots for diving enthusiasts.

Additionally, before the summer break, the largest travel expo—the 2013 Taipei International Travel Fair—is here. In collaboration with six major travel agencies: Shi Xing, Xi Man Ke, Xi Hong, Ji Di, Fei Long, and Bai Wei, the Malaysian Tourism Board is offering premium and diverse travel packages for less than 20,000 NTD. Group bookings can save you up to 10,000 NTD. Pay a deposit of just 2,000 NTD, and the first 300 registrants will receive an eco-friendly reusable shopping bag from Malaysia. The first 100 registrants will also get a beautifully practical traditional Malaysian stilt house memo box. Those who book a trip to Kuala Lumpur will even receive a voucher for a luxurious spa treatment at the five-star “The Asia Spa.”
