Ganzhou Qiyun Mountain

Qiyun Mountain is located at the junction of Wuzhifeng Township in Shangyou County and Sishun Township in Chongyi County, Jiangxi Province. It is the main peak of the Zhuguang Mountain Range, with an elevation of 2,061 meters. The total area covers 15 square kilometers. The mountain features towering peaks that are often shrouded in clouds and mist. The upper part of the mountain is covered with dense primeval forests, while the sunny slopes and foothills consist of mixed deciduous and evergreen coniferous-broadleaf forests, as well as evergreen broadleaf forests. Above 1,000 meters in elevation, only shrubbery can be found, and the vegetation becomes sparser with increasing altitude, leaving only grass at the summit. The area is home to many wild animals, mainly including monkeys, serows, muntjacs, serows, and Lady Amherst's pheasants. From the main peak, you can overlook eight counties across three provinces (Hunan, Jiangxi, and Guangdong)—Guidong, Rucheng, Zixing, Yanling, Shangyou, Chongyi, Dayu, and Nanxiong.
