Dianyue Island in Doushui Lake is located within the provincial-level scenic area — Doushui Lake Scenic Area. Constructed in October 2002, it covers an area of 30,000 square meters and is situated on the lakeside mountain in the central lake area, facing the Southern Jiangxi Arboretum across the lake. It is currently the best-preserved natural scenic spot in Doushui Lake, boasting the most comprehensive facilities and the largest development scale. The surrounding mountains are lush and verdant, the lake is clear and picturesque, and the natural ecological environment is first-class, earning it the reputation of being the “Shangri-La of Doushui Lake.”

The island features the Underworld Spectacular Viewing Area and the Hundred Islands Appreciation Area, and includes attractions such as a forest maze, a forest archery range, water golf, the Phoenix Observation Deck, and the Twin Hearts Iron Cable Bridge (Magpie Bridge).

Doushui Town: Doushui Town is located in the southwest of Shangyou County, 21 kilometers from the county seat. The town covers an area of 47 square kilometers, including 2,185 mu of arable land. It administers 1 neighborhood committee, 4 administrative villages, and 56 village groups, with a total population of 5,233, of which 1,724 are non-agricultural residents. The area hosts enterprises and institutions such as the provincial Shangyou River Hydropower Plant, the municipal Youjiang Forest Farm, and the Southern Jiangxi Arboretum. It also features the national-level scenic area — Doushui Lake Park. With its green mountains and clear waters, the area boasts pleasant scenery and is a golden destination for eco-tourism in Ganzhou City.
