Shangyou Nanhu National Wetland Park

Shangyou Nanhu National Wetland Park is a national-level wetland park.

The area of Shangyou Nanhu National Wetland Park includes the main course of the Shangyou River from Hongxing Village in Doushui Town to the dam of Xianrenpo Power Station, along with adjacent riverbanks, mountain forests, and woodlands. It has a planned area of 671.17 hectares, of which 627.38 hectares are wetlands. This wetland park is a natural and artificial composite wetland ecosystem formed by permanent rivers, floodplain wetlands, and aquaculture farms. The wetland ecosystem is fully developed with a well-formed structure. In particular, the wetland landscape and the surrounding plant communities formed by forests, shrubs, and grasslands exhibit high biodiversity. The wetland ecosystem is healthy and typical for subtropical regions. The inclusion of this pilot site is another achievement of our county in accelerating the realization of the strategic goal of "Integrated Urban Development and Green Leapfrogging." The establishment of the pilot will help preserve and develop the entire ecological system of our county, highlight the cultivation of our ecological advantages, and lay a solid foundation for our county's "Integrated Urban Development and Green Leapfrogging."
