The former site of the Rear Hospital of the Red Third Army Corps is located beside the road in Hongqi Natural Village, Shangzhai Village, Pingfu Township. Originally called the "Red Army Hospital in Shangzhai," it was established in August 1930. In April 1932, when the Red Third Army Corps stationed here, it was renamed the "Rear Hospital of the Red Third Army Corps." The site included an office, a reception room, treatment rooms, a pharmacy, wards, and a kitchen. The building is of brick-and-wood structure with a flush gable roof, spanning three bays with a total width of 26.3 meters and extending across three halls. The moon beams, screens, and door pillars are carved with floral, bird, and animal motifs. The wood carvings and stone engravings possess significant artistic value. In April 1983, it was listed as one of the first batch of county-level cultural relic protection units.

In 2014, the County Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, News and Publication secured 1.317 million yuan in national cultural relic protection special funds from the National Cultural Heritage Administration and the Ministry of Finance to carry out comprehensive restoration of the site. The following year, the County Museum organized its exhibition layout. In March 2018, it was designated as a sixth-batch cultural relic protection unit by the provincial government.
