Former Site of the Political Department of the Third Red Army Corps

The former site of the Political Department of the Third Red Army Corps is located in Shangzhai Village, Pingfu Township. During the revolutionary struggle of the Third Red Army Corps, it served as the location where the corps established its political department in Shangzhai Village. It stands as an important historical testament to our Party’s revolutionary activities in the area. As the political department of the Third Red Army Corps, it also helped quell internal purges, tried members of the AB Group, resolved the issue of land distribution among peasants, rectified discipline within the ranks, and provided vital strength for bolstering the revolutionary forces.

In 2016, the County Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, News and Publication secured 1.41 million yuan in special national funding for the protection of key cultural relics from the National Cultural Heritage Administration and the Ministry of Finance for the restoration of the site.
