Shangyou County Museum

Shangyou County Museum is located on the second floor of the Cultural and Art Center in the Shaokou Administrative Area of Shangyou County. Established in 1992, it occupies an office space of over 600 square meters and is primarily engaged in cultural relic management, preservation, and development. The museum currently features one basic exhibition hall—“Scenes Along the You River”—covering an area of 400 square meters. The exhibits include a permanent display on “The History of Shangyou” and another on “Hakka Culture.” The museum also has a set of two artifact storage rooms totaling approximately 200 square meters, housing a collection of over 300 cultural relics. In addition, the security and technical protection system has been further upgraded to improve the storage environment for the relics. The current collection includes more than 300 cultural relics, among which 19 are classified as precious artifacts of Grade 3 or above.
