Baizhang Peak is situated in the southeastern part of Yushui District, standing 424 meters above sea level with a relative height of over 300 meters. The main ridge extends from east to west, bordering Xiajiang County and Xingan County to the south, and connecting to Nan’an Township on the east, west, and north. It is located 45 kilometers from downtown Xinyu. The region enjoys a forest microclimate, with an average annual temperature ranging between 16.8°C and 18°C, annual precipitation of about 1,573.6 millimeters, and cool summers. Baizhang Peak Forest Farm derives its name from the peak. The area boasts abundant forest resources, covering a forested area of 1,935 hectares, with a standing timber volume of 92,988 cubic meters and a forest coverage rate of 90.8%. The main tree species include Chinese fir, slash pine, Masson’s pine, camphor trees, and bamboo. The area features unique forest landscapes and rich cultural sites, such as Emperor Cave, Three-County Pavilion, Dongfeng Altar, Thunder Temple, and a habitat for egrets. Transportation and communication around Baizhang Peak are convenient. Roads lead directly from the city center, and the under-construction Shanghai–Ruili Expressway runs east to west at the foot of the mountain, providing solid infrastructure for forest tourism.

Baizhang Peak is highly suitable for hiking and mountain climbing, making it a top choice for forest tourism and a summer retreat for escaping the heat.

Nan’an Township: Located southeast of Yushui District in Xinyu City, Nan’an Township is 35 kilometers from the city center. It borders Xinxī Township and Xingan County to the east, Luofang Town to the west, Baizhang Peak to the south (facing Xiajiang County across the mountain), and Yaoxu Town to the north. The township stretches approximately 20 kilometers from east to west and 6 kilometers from north to south. It administers eight administrative villages — Fengzhou, Gaofeng, Chaoyang, Dongluo, Xinsheng, Nanmen, Jinlan, and Xianhua — encompassing 85 natural villages, with a total population of 13,054, 514 Party members, and 6,758 laborers.
