Jiulong Mountain Township is an important part of the Fairy Lake National Key Scenic Area. The area boasts beautiful mountains and clear waters, a pleasant climate, and abundant tourism resources. It features unique natural scenery, moving red historical culture, and beautiful mythical legends, and is often referred to as the "Jinggang Mountains" and "Little Lushan Mountain" of Xinyu.

Leveraging the area’s rich tourism resources, the township has carried out extensive development, exploration, and utilization. It actively responds to and coordinates with the major tourism development of Fairy Lake, linking its own efforts with the scenic area’s initiatives. By integrating its exceptional mountain-water landscapes, ecological assets, and red heritage, the township has launched the Jiulong Red Tourism Rafting project, striving to create the city’s first tourism destination that combines revolutionary tradition education with holiday leisure. Last year, the township invested over 2 million yuan to efficiently complete infrastructure construction at several scenic spots and the rafting site, including the former site of the Huqiao Party Branch, the Red Trench Ruins, the Red Treasure Tree, the Red Army Cave, the Red Army Spring, the Wangquan Pavilion, the Huqiao Uprising Assembly Point, the Tianfeng Viewing Platform, the Dragon Pool and Tiger’s Den, the Guanyin Cave, and the Laixi Temple.
