Yuqing Hall

Yuqing Hall is a cultural heritage protection unit of Jiangxi Province.

Yuqing Hall is located in Yushui District. In March 2018, it was designated as part of the sixth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage protection units in Jiangxi Province.

Yuqing Hall is located in Huangkeng Village, Shuibei Town, Yushui District. Built as an ancestral hall during the Daoguang era of the Qing Dynasty, it faces west and is constructed of brick and wood. The lower part of the walls is made of rammed earth, while the upper section is built with blue brick in a clear-water, hollow style. The interior features a post-and-lintel frame construction, flanked by enclosed firewalls on both sides, with a flush gable roof, double-sloped roofing, and single-sloped roofing over the courtyard. The floor is paved with blue bricks. The traditional village cluster of ancient residences in Huangkeng Village, centered around Yuqing Hall, is a representative traditional ancient village in Jiangxi Province. It holds significant representativeness and typicality for the study of site selection, layout, architectural style, and ancestral hall culture of traditional villages.
