General Jin Temple in Xinzhou is a cultural heritage site protected by Minhou County.

General Jin Temple in Xinzhou

Located in Xinzhou Village, Shangjie Town, Minhou County. It faces west and sits to the east, fronting Qishan Mountain and near the Min River, with a construction area of over 1,500 square meters. The temple has three sections extending deep into the site with two courtyards, and along the central axis from west to east are successively the gate tower, theater stage, front worship pavilion, bell and drum towers, main hall, rear worship pavilion, and rear hall.

It was listed as one of the first batch of county-level cultural heritage protection units in 1989.

In the early hours of October 11, 2013, the temple was destroyed by fire.

Reconstruction began at the end of 2015 and was completed in 2017.
