Shipu Water Tower is a cultural heritage site protected at the district level in Cangshan District.

Shipu Water Tower (Shipu Twin Towers)

Located by the river in Longjiang Village, Chengmen Town, Cangshan District, and built during the Ming Dynasty. The tower is constructed of stone in a pavilion style, with four corners, seven stories, and a solid core; it stands 2.7 meters tall in total, with a Sumeru pedestal base circumference of 2.8 meters. The eaves project outward, and the finial is shaped like a gourd.

It was designated as a district-level cultural heritage site in April 1995.

Shipu Water Tower is currently situated within a residential courtyard in Longjiang Village, and the surrounding environment is not ideal.

Longjiang Village: Located beside National Highway 324 and adjacent to the Wulong River, Longjiang Village is one of the water intake sites for the Fuzhou Waterworks. It is also known as Fuzhou’s renowned eyewear production hub, featuring a street dedicated to production, wholesale, and retail. The village has 1,641 households and a population of 5,637. In 2012, the total rural economic income was 767.53 million yuan, with village fiscal revenue of 474,900 yuan.
