Tongkou Lingguang Bridge is a cultural heritage site protected by Minhou County.

Tongkou Lingguang Bridge

Located in Tongkou Village, Jingxi Town, Minhou County, it was first built during the Song Dynasty and rebuilt during the Wanli era of the Ming Dynasty.

The Lingguang Bridge is a stone-beam flat bridge, about 30 meters in total length, with three piers and four spans. The piers are constructed from strip stones, featuring unequal spans, and a clear span of 21.5 meters. The bridge deck is 2.3 meters wide, made of four large laid stone slabs. The middle stone beam on the southern side has the inscription “Lingguang Bridge” carved in intaglio. Stone railings were originally installed on both sides of the bridge but have since collapsed.

In 1989, Lingguang Bridge was listed as one of the first batch of county-level cultural heritage protection units in Minhou County.

Tongkou Village: Located in Jingxi Town, Minhou County, Tongkou Village sits at the 5-kilometer mark of the Gan-Hong Road. It is just 10 kilometers east of downtown Fuzhou and 3 kilometers west of the Jingxi Town government seat, placing it at the center of Jingxi Town. To the east it neighbors Houyu Village, to the west it connects with Guangming Village, and to the south it faces GuShanzhou Village. The Wai-Fu Railway runs through the village.

[Village and Residents] Tongkou Village administers two natural villages: Tongkou and Tongxi. The village covers an area of 3,500 mu, with a total population of 1,347 people, comprising 380 households across 8 villager groups. The village committee is located within Tongkou Village.
