Located in Shengshan Village, Xindian Town, in the northern suburbs of Fuzhou, legend has it that during the time of King Goujian of Yue, the mountain flew here from Kuaiji. The temple was first built in the third year of the Tianjia era (562 AD) during the Chen Dynasty of the Southern Dynasties, but was later destroyed. It was rebuilt in the 30th year of the Guangxu reign of the Qing Dynasty (1907 AD), covering an area of 586 square meters. Its main structures include the Heavenly King Hall, the Mahavira Hall, and the Guanyin Pavilion. The main hall has five bays in width and five columns in depth, featuring a post-and-lintel wooden frame structure with a single-eave gable and hip roof. Inside the temple is a stone ladle carved in the sixth year of the Xuanhe era (1124 AD) during the Song Dynasty. The cliff behind the temple bears inscriptions by historical figures such as Zhang Quhuo and Liu Mengbo of the Song Dynasty, and Lin Zexu of the Qing Dynasty. On the eve of liberation, it served as the contact station for the urban work department of the Fujian–Zhejiang–Jiangxi Provincial Committee of the Chinese Communist Party. In 1986, it was listed as a district-level cultural heritage site.
