Bailong An

Bailong An is a cultural heritage site protected by Taijiang District.

Bailong An

Located at the address on Bailong Road, Cangxia Subdistrict, Taijiang District, it is one of the Nine An Temples in Fuzhou. The original construction date is unknown, but it was rebuilt in the Dingwei year of the Guangxu reign during the Qing Dynasty (1907). It covers an area of 560 square meters from north to south. The stone lintel above the main gate reads “Bailong Martial Temple,” while the smaller door plaques bear the inscriptions “Literary Classics” and “Martial Latitude.” The existing main hall is three bays wide and five bays deep, featuring a single-eave hip-and-gable roof supported by a through-tenon wooden frame. The doors and windows are exquisitely carved. Stone pillars inside the temple bear couplets and inscriptions such as “Respectfully Worshipped by Elders and Officials of Eight Community Associations on the Auspicious Day of Early Spring in the Dingwei Year of Guangxu.”

In 1988, it was designated as a cultural heritage site protected by Taijiang District.
