The existing Fahuasi Temple is located on Luoshan at the northern foot of Yushan, facing south. Fahuasi Temple in Fuzhou is a cultural relic protection unit of Fuzhou City.

The existing Fahuasi Temple is located on Luoshan at the northern foot of Yushan, facing south. Along its central axis, the main structures include the mountain gate, the Heavenly King Hall, the Mahavira Hall, and the Dharma Hall.

The mountain gate is a brick gate tower built in recent years.

The first hall, the Heavenly King Hall, has three bays and features stone columns supporting a wooden-rafter roof structure with a single-eave hanging gable roof. There are auxiliary side rooms on both sides, serving as passageways for overstreet buildings. In front of the hall is a parking lot.

The second hall is the main Mahavira Hall, which also has three bays and features stone columns supporting a wooden-rafter roof structure with a single-eave hip-and-gable roof. There are auxiliary single-bay side halls on both sides, along with corridors extending on both left and right sides. The courtyard is fully paved with stone slabs and displays potted plants.

Fahuasi Temple was established in the second year of the Kaiyun era of the Later Jin Dynasty during the Five Dynasties period (945 AD), originally named Xingfu Monastery. During the Dazhong Xiangfu era of the Song Dynasty (1008–1016 AD), it was renamed Fahuasi Temple. In 1117 AD, it was converted into the Daoist temple Shenxiao Palace. In 1127 AD, the first year of the Jianyan era of the Southern Song Dynasty, it was restored as Fahuasi Temple. In the early years of the Jiajing era of the Ming Dynasty (1522 AD), it was occupied by powerful local families as a private villa. In 1549 AD, the 27th year of the Wanli era, the monk Wukong restored it to its original function as a temple.
