The Seven Bridges of Qiong River

The Seven Bridges of Qiong River are a cultural heritage site protected at the municipal level in Fuzhou.

The Seven Bridges of Qiong River, also known as Heqi Bridge (the name officially announced in 1992), are located on the Antai River and were originally bridges over the moat of Luocheng, the capital city during the Tang and Five Dynasties periods. These include Jindou Bridge, Guanyi Bridge, Shuangpao Bridge, Gaofeng Bridge, Ban Bridge (also called Laofodian Bridge), Antai Bridge, and Guanyin Bridge (this list has been verified). All are stone flat-beam bridges or single-arch bridges, with inscriptions on the railings indicating the construction dates and bridge names. In ancient times, the tidal waters from the West Water Gate flowed through these bridges, dividing northward and southward before converging with the eastern tides, making this a unique feature of ancient Fuzhou.

Designated as a municipal-level cultural heritage site in 1992.

Among them, Antai Bridge, Ban Bridge (Laofodian Bridge), Guanyi Bridge, and Jindou Bridge are located within the Sanfang Qixiang Historical and Cultural Block.

Nanjie Subdistrict: Nanjie Subdistrict is situated in the central-western part of Gulou District. To the east, it borders Dongjie Subdistrict along Bayi 7th North Road; to the south, it lies at the foot of Wushi Mountain, adjacent to Antai Subdistrict; to the west, it extends to Xiaoliu and Henan Xincun, bordering Hongshan Town; and to the north, it is bounded by Hujie Road, Xian South Road, and Yangqiao Road, neighboring Huada Subdistrict and Guxi Subdistrict. It covers an area of 1.56 square kilometers, with 16,000 households and a population of approximately 50,000. The subdistrict office is located at No. 28 Huangxiang.
