The Site of the Old Dongqi Wharf is a municipal cultural heritage site of Fuzhou.

Dongqi Wharf

Dongqi Wharf is located in Dongqi Village, Tingjiang Town, Mawei District. It is part of the ancient Min’an Xinggang waterway and was first built during the Tang Dynasty, remaining in use through subsequent dynasties.

On February 15, 2016, it was designated as a municipal cultural heritage site in the seventh batch of such listings. Protected area: to the east up to the Fuzhou Customs Anti-Smuggling Team, to the west up to the buildings on the west side of the timber processing plant, to the south up to the Min River, and to the north up to the south side of the tennis court of the Fuzhou Customs Anti-Smuggling Team.

Dongqi Village: Dongqi Village in Tingjiang Town is situated along National Highway 104, with well-connected transportation. The village has 19 villager groups, a population of 1,715, and covers a total area of 10.6 square kilometers, including 5,468 mu of ecological forest. The land here is fertile, the climate mild, the village neat, the people simple and kind, and the residents live in peace and contentment.
