The White Buddha of Ruiji Temple at Shishan is a cultural relic protection unit of Fuzhou City.

Located on Jiǔqū Mountain in Shishan Village, Chengmen Town, Cangshan District, the White Buddha, according to the *Record of Three Mountains* by Liang Kejia of the Song Dynasty, was first carved in the sixth year of the Dazhong era of the Tang Dynasty (852). Also known as the “Thunderstruck Guanyin,” it is a high relief sculpture on rock, standing 1.36 meters tall and 0.60 meters wide, oriented 15 degrees southeast. In front of it is built a rectangular stone pavilion, 2.93 meters wide, 1.5 meters deep, and 2.3 meters high. The stone lintel above the entrance is inscribed with the words: “Ancient Site of the Thunderstruck Guanyin, Third Month of the Bingxuan Year, Tianqi Era.” The White Buddha is affiliated with Ruiji Temple.

It was designated as a municipal-level cultural relic protection unit in August 1983.

Shishan Village: Shishan Village is one of the Four Villages of Linpu. It is known for its heritage of producing “eight imperial examination graduates from seven rounds of exams” and “five ministers across three generations,” boasting numerous historic sites spanning over a thousand years. Existing relics include the Imperial Stone Memorial Archway of Linpu, the stone arch bridge, and the rock carvings of Ruiji Temple. The village currently has 618 households and a population of 2,560 people, with total rural economic income reaching 158.9 million yuan in 2012.
