Kuqi Fort

Kuqi Fort

Kuqi Fort is a cultural heritage site protected by Fuzhou City.

Kuqi Fort is located in Kuqi Village, Gushan Town, facing south with its back to the north, overlooking the Min River. Originally, there were three forts, one of which has been destroyed. The relatively well-preserved one is situated within residential buildings. It is an enclosed, circular structure made of rammed earth. It has an inner diameter of 6.75 meters, a height of 4.59 meters, and a thickness of 1.47 meters, with one gun emplacement; the other is open-air, consisting of several rammed earth mounds, of which only one mound remains today.

It was designated as a key cultural heritage site protected by Fuzhou City in 1992.
