Tingjiang HuiLong Bridge
Tingjiang HuiLong Bridge is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Fujian Province.
Also known as Feigai Bridge or Shen Gong Bridge, it is located on the Xing Port in Min’an, Tingjiang Township on the outskirts of Fuzhou. Built during the Tang Dynasty, it was repaired by Zheng Xingzhi of the Song Dynasty, and renovated during the Qing Dynasty’s Kangxi, Jiaqing, and Daoguang eras, as well as in the 11th year of the Republic of China (1922). It is a stone flat-beam bridge running from north to south, with four piers and five unequal-span arches. The total length is 65 meters and the width is 4.64 meters. The bridge piers are boat-shaped, and the tops of the railing pillars are carved with treasures, ornamental boxes, sea creatures, and other elements that are original Tang Dynasty components. Other carvings such as lions playing with balls are Ming Dynasty components. The pillars bear inscriptions such as “Erected in the late spring of the Bingyin year, Chen Lu donated one worship stone and two arch stones…” The northern end of the bridge has a street-crossing bridgehead pavilion, between which there are three steles. To the north, the bridge connects to the Shengwang Temple, while at the southern end there is the Xuan Di Pavilion, housing one Song Dynasty stele and one Qing Dynasty stele. It was announced as a provincial-level cultural heritage site on April 17, 1991.

Another Qing Dynasty stele has the horizontal plaque title “Shen Gong Bridge,” and the text reads: “The HuiLong Bridge of Min’an was built in the late Tang Dynasty. The Song Dynasty Prime Minister Zheng Gong donated his salary to renovate it and named it Feigai Bridge. In the Dingyou year of our Qing Dynasty, Assistant Commander Shen Gong, seeing the bridge had long been dilapidated, generously funded its repair. The soldiers and civilians were deeply grateful, so it was renamed Shen Gong Bridge, and this stele was erected to commemorate his benevolence. During the Jiaqing era, the local resident Zheng YinFu initiated another renovation. In the Jiwei year of the Daoguang era, the bridge collapsed again, and the gentry of the town gathered to discuss its reconstruction.”
