Fuqing Dongguanzhai is a national AAA-level tourist attraction and a Fujian Provincial Cultural Heritage Protection Unit.

Dongguanzhai

Located in Dongshan Village, Yidu Town, Fuqing City, it was built in 1736, is a wooden and earthen structure, and covers an area of approximately 4,180 square meters. The entire building is rectangular in shape, featuring a symmetrical central-axis layout with two floors and a total of 99 rooms.

It was listed as part of the fifth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage protection units in 2001.

Dongshan Village: Dongshan Village is situated in the northwest of Fuqing City and falls under the jurisdiction of the People's Government of Yidu Town. It borders Yongtai, Minhou, and Putian counties, and is a designated poverty-stricken village characterized by a mix of elderly residents, remote location, and ethnic minority presence. The village has 25 villager groups, 712 households with 2,483 people (among them, 352 households and 1,213 people are from the She ethnic minority), 45 Party members, and 7 village officials.
