Xiangyuan Cottage

Xiangyuan Cottage is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Fujian Province.

Xiangyuan Cottage was first built in the ninth year of the Daoguang reign during the Qing Dynasty (1829), covering an area of approximately 2,232.5 square meters, with a total width of 59 meters and a depth of 41.5 meters, featuring a hall-and-wing layout. It is composed of a stone-paved path in front of the cottage, low walls and a screen wall, a feng shui entrance courtyard, a study hall, an inner feng shui entrance courtyard, an inner open space, the main hall, wing rooms, double side wings, a study, a rear wing room, and a rear building.

It was designated as a ninth-batch provincial-level cultural heritage site in 2018.

Gaiyang Township: Located in the western part of Yongtai, at the junction of Quanzhou, Sanming, and Fuzhou, it is 76 kilometers from the county seat, covering a total area of 120.6 square kilometers with a population of 9,375. The Ting Temple in Chiling Village, with its Buddhist halls and monastery buildings, stone-rolled mountain ridges and misty clouds, offers serene scenery and is one of the three major scenic spots and historic sites in Yongtai. The mountainous area also holds mineral resources such as gold and lead-zinc. In 2004, the township achieved a total industrial and agricultural output value of 140 million yuan, a total output value of township enterprises of 79.98 million yuan, a total fiscal revenue of 800,000 yuan, and an average per capita net income of 3,266 yuan for farmers.
