Longyuan Courtyard

Longyuan Courtyard is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Fujian Province.

Longyuan Courtyard was built between the 10th and 20th years of the Jiaqing reign in the Qing Dynasty (1805–1815), covering an area of approximately 3,588.6 square meters, with a total width of 79.8 meters and depth of 34.1 meters. It follows a hall-wing layout and is composed of over 200 rooms of various sizes, including a stone-paved pathway in front of the courtyard, an oval release pond made of Niu Dao Stone, a dry gate, an open yard, row houses and the lower hall, a screen door, patio wing rooms, the main hall, wing rooms, a study, and a cowshed.

It was designated as a ninth-batch provincial-level cultural heritage site in 2018.

Gaoyang Township: Located in the western part of Yongtai, at the junction of Quanzhou, Sanming, and Fuzhou, it sits 76 kilometers from the county seat and covers a total area of 120.6 square kilometers with a population of 9,375. The Ting Temple in Chiling Village, with its monastic halls, stone-rolled mountain clouds, and serene scenery, is one of Yongtai’s three major scenic and historic sites. The mountainous area also holds mineral resources such as gold and lead-zinc. In 2004, the township achieved a total industrial and agricultural output value of 140 million yuan, a total output value of township enterprises of 79.98 million yuan, a fiscal revenue of 800,000 yuan, and an average per capita rural income of 3,266 yuan.
