The Tomb of Chen Xiuyuan is a cultural relic protection unit of Fujian Province.

Located in Ximei Village, Jiangtian Town, Changle City, Fuzhou, Fujian Province. Originally built in the eighth year of the Jiaqing reign of the Qing Dynasty (1803), it was renovated in 1981. Covering an area of 126 square meters, the tomb faces from southeast to northwest. It is constructed of lime-soil mixture, with the platform, enclosure, and courtyard paved with stone slabs. A tombstone stands on the platform, flanked by lion pillars on both sides. The mound is built of stone, taking a “wind” character shape in plan, measuring 6 meters in depth and 4.5 meters in width. In front, there is an offering table and a screen. The offering table holds a tombstone that is 1.96 meters high and 2.8 meters wide, inscribed with: “The eternal resting place of Chen Xiuyuan, the eldest son of the Second-Rank Civilian Official Chen, posthumously honored as Wenlin Lang, and his wife Dai, posthumously honored as Da Ruoren, from Jiangtian. His eldest son served as the County Magistrate of Zhili. Also resting here are his eldest daughter-in-law, Lin Ruoren from Xiaozhi Village; his eldest grandson □□□, styled Daobiao; his eldest granddaughter-in-law, Zheng Ruoren from Guxian; his second grandson □□□, styled Daocong; and his second granddaughter-in-law, Lin Ruoren from Rongcheng. This cemetery faces the direction of Bing toward Ren, with a slight inclination toward Yi and Hai. Erected on a propitious day in the spring of the 13th year of Jiaqing (1813).”

Chen Xiuyuan (1753–1823), whose given name was Nianzu, courtesy name Liangyou, also known as Shenxiu or Xiuyuan, was a renowned physician and one of the Four Great Physicians of the Qing Dynasty.

Ximei Village: Ximei Village is one of the four mountain-surrounded villages and is an administrative village located in a remote mountainous area. The total area of the village is 700 hectares, including 584 mu of paddy fields and 7,300 mu of mountain land (of which 4,300 mu are forested). The village has a total population of 1,111, with 300 households and 350 laborers. The village has a two-committee leadership of 5 cadres, 22 Party members, 22 low-income households totaling 52 people, and 5 Five Guarantees households totaling 6 people. Villagers make a living through small-scale agriculture and migrant work. In 2013, the per capita net income of farmers was 7,643 yuan.
