The Tomb of Zheng Qiao is a cultural heritage site protected by Fujian Province.

Tomb of Zheng Qiao

Located in Dayang Natural Village, Tongguan Village, Wutong Town, Yongtai County. The tomb measures approximately 60 meters in width from east to west and about 70 meters in depth from front to back, with a perimeter of over 200 meters. It is built in six terraced levels against the mountain, forming a well-balanced and staggered layout. Each level features a flat area at the front and back, 5 or 10 meters in width, connected by red brick staircases between the tiers. The lowest level has 48 steps, while the other levels have either 10 steps or spans of 5 meters. The wall on the third level is inscribed with words of praise for Zheng Qiao by Emperor Guangzong of the Song Dynasty: “If all officials in court and country could love the people as Zheng Qiao did, the nation would be at peace.” From this point, the tomb splits into left and right pathways leading up. At the top level, the tombstone reads: “Tomb of Zheng Qiao, Duke of Xun, Grand Tutor of the Song Dynasty.” Behind the tomb’s roof is a two-meter-high wall resembling a screen, enhancing the grandeur of the memorial site.

Tongguan Village: Tongguan Village is located in the southwestern part of Wutong Town, facing the beautiful and majestic Pinfeng Mountain. It is 2.5 kilometers from the town center and 32.5 kilometers from the county seat. To the south, it connects to the border areas of Putian and Xianyou counties; to the north, it neighbors Xilin Village, which leads to National Highway 203 toward Songkou and Dehua. The Meiyu and Xianyou expressways also run through the area. With the Left Coarse Stream to one side and the Azure Dragon Stream on the other, the two streams converge at Longyan Pool near the entrance of Wutong. On the left is Golden Bell Hill, and on the right is Fish Drum Hill; a jade-like belt of water encircles the waist of the land, while crimson lotus flowers dazzle the scenery. Five hills shaped like the beasts of dragon, tiger, leopard, lion, and elephant stand guard on both sides.
