Shipyang Kengping Bridge

Located in Kengping Natural Village, Shipyang Village, Tingping Township, Minhou County, the bridge was built in the 13th year of the Qianlong reign during the Qing Dynasty (1748). It is a single-span wooden arch covered bridge oriented from northeast to southwest, measuring 26.1 meters in total length, 6.38 meters in width, and 3.6 meters in height for the roofed corridor. The bridge abutments on both sides are built with stone slabs, and a wooden arch frame constructed from interlocking round fir logs is erected on top. Round logs are laid horizontally across the arch as beams, and wooden planks are placed transversely to form the bridge deck. The roofed corridor features a hip-and-gable roof, post-and-lintel wooden construction, spans nine bays in width, and is four columns deep. Wooden benches and straight lattice railings are installed along both sides of the corridor, covered externally with rain shields. A shrine is located on the western side of the central bay, enshrining the Dark Heavenly Emperor. A wooden plaque inscribed with the names of donors from villages such as Panping is hung on the eastern beam.

This bridge is one of the few remaining wooden arch covered bridges and holds significant scientific value.

It administers 25 village committees including Tingping, Hongshan, Xishan, Yantou, Xiayang, Wenshangang, Macuo, Huangpu, Xikeng, Chikeng, Panling, Shijing, Chikeng, Xiping, Shipyang, Caodi, Liuyuan, Houxi, Jiaoxi, Luqiao, Shikeng, Weiqiao, Guangping, Tangli, and Wenhe. The main agricultural products are rice, and the region is rich in timber.
