Lianjiang Puguang Pagoda is a cultural relic protection unit of Fujian Province.

Located atop Yunju Mountain in Dongdai Town, Lianjiang County, it is commonly known as Yunju Pagoda, Wangfu Pagoda (Wishing Wife Pagoda), or Tailless Pagoda. Built in the 10th year of the Zhi Zheng era during the Yuan Dynasty (1350), the pagoda stands 9.5 meters tall and is constructed from granite. It features two levels, an octagonal shape, and four hollow gates. The first level has eight sides — four main directional sides with gates, and four side sides each inlaid with a relief sculpture of a Yuan Dynasty warrior. The four gate lintels are inscribed respectively with the Chinese characters 寂照 (Silent Illumination), 光明 (Radiance), 无碍 (Unobstructed), and 融圆 (Harmonious Unity). The second level aligns in the same direction as the first, with four gates on the front and four concave Buddhist niches on the sides, each housing a stone Buddha. Above the main gate is a vertical stele whose top is carved with a design of two dragons chasing a pearl, flanked by wave patterns, and in the center is the boldly engraved inscription “Puguang Pagoda.”

Legend has it that a young couple once lived on Yunju Mountain, leading a life of farming and weaving. Later, due to a drought, the husband went to sea for trade and was away for over ten years. His wife, missing him dearly, piled up stones on the mountain peak to form a pagoda and kept watch day and night for his return. Later generations named this stone pagoda the Wishing Wife Pagoda.

In 1961, it was listed as a county-level cultural relic protection unit.

In 1996, it was designated as part of the fourth batch of Fujian Provincial Cultural Relic Protection Units.

Dongdai Town: Located in the southeastern part of Lianjiang County, on the southern bank of the mouth of the Ao River, it is 15 kilometers from Lianjiang County and 60 kilometers from the provincial capital Fuzhou. Rich in resources, it was among the first group of towns to achieve a moderately prosperous status. It governs 1 neighborhood committee, 8 village committees, 22 natural villages, and has a population of 35,700.

In 2003, the total output value of industry and agriculture reached 835 million yuan, an increase of 12.7%, including 616 million yuan in industrial output and 219 million yuan in agricultural output.
