Fuqing Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery is a cultural heritage site protected at the municipal level in Fuqing and a classic red tourism destination.

Fuqing Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery is located near Ruiyun Pagoda in Longshan Subdistrict.

Since the Agrarian Revolutionary War, the people of Fuqing have waged brave revolutionary struggles under the leadership of the Communist Party of China. Many outstanding sons and daughters endured torment, chose death over submission, and died heroically, creating countless moving and heroic deeds. In August 1949, the People's Liberation Army—crossing mountains and rivers—marched victoriously to join forces with the Fuqing guerrilla unit, and on the 15th, captured positions such as Wuma Mountain and Ruiyun Pagoda, eliminating the defending enemy forces in Fuqing and liberating the entire city. To commemorate the 202 revolutionary martyrs who sacrificed their lives for Fuqing’s revolution and liberation, in December 1957, the Fuqing County People’s Government built a cemetery and erected a monument, establishing Fuqing Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery, so that the revolutionary spirit of these heroes would live forever in the hearts of the people.

Covering an area of over 1,000 square meters, Fuqing Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery faces south with its back to the north, overlooking the peaks of Wuma Mountain. About 10 meters to the southwest of the cemetery lies the Huangge Chonglun Memorial Archway, a provincial-level cultural heritage site; about 70 meters to the southeast is Ruiyun Pagoda, also a provincial-level cultural heritage site; and roughly eight or nine meters to the south is the Likou. A pair of exquisitely carved stone lions stand majestically on either side of the cemetery. At the center stands the Revolutionary Martyrs’ Monument, approximately 10 meters high. The base of the monument features inscriptions from government, military, and civic organizations, and atop the monument sits a single red star, standing imposingly and magnificently. The bluestone tombstones are engraved with the names of the martyrs.

Fuqing Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery was designated as a cultural heritage site of Fuqing County by the Fuqing County People’s Government in February 1981, and in April 2002, it was established as a youth moral education base of Fuqing by the Fuqing Municipal Committee of the CPC and the Fuqing Municipal People’s Government.
