The Vajra Pillar and Inscriptions are located in Lingshi Forest Farm, Dongzhang Town, dating back to the Qing Dynasty.

In 1988, the Vajra Pillar and Inscriptions were designated as a county-level cultural relics protection unit.

Dongzhang Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Fuqing City. Established as Dongzhang Town in 1950, restructured as a commune in 1958, and reinstated as a town in 1984. It is located in the northwest of the city, 13 kilometers from the city center. Covering an area of 128 square kilometers with a population of 30,000, it administers 18 village committees — Xianjin, Xianfeng, Xiangshan, Banling, Laidi, Sanxing, Daoqiao, Xibei, Huashi, Luling, Lingxia, Jishan, Cuihou, Shuangxi, Jinzhi, Yulin, Shaolin, and Nanhu — along with the Dongzhang residential committee.
