Tongjiang Gate is a cultural heritage site protected by Fuqing City.

Tongjiang Gate is located on Old Street in Haikou Town and dates back to the Ming Dynasty.

In 1988, Tongjiang Gate was designated as a county-level cultural heritage site.

Haikou Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Fuqing City. Established as Haikou Commune in 1958 and restructured as a town in 1984. It is situated in the eastern part of the city, at the mouth of the Longjiang River, bordering Fuqing Bay to the southeast, and is 9 kilometers from the city center. The town covers an area of 66.5 square kilometers and has a population of 90,000. Haikou Port has four docks with seven berths dedicated to aquatic products, cargo, passengers, and petroleum.
