Dongji Temple is a cultural relics protection unit of Fuqing City.

Dongji Temple is located in Longwangkeng, Xiting, Yangxia Subdistrict, and dates back to the Ming Dynasty.

In 1988, Dongji Temple was designated as a county-level cultural relics protection unit.

Yangxia Subdistrict: Yangxia Subdistrict is a renowned hometown of overseas Chinese in Fuqing, Fuzhou, Fujian Province, and also home to the Hongkuan Industrial Village — an important part of the national-level Rongqiao Economic and Technological Development Zone — as well as the Min-Tai Agricultural Cooperation Demonstration Zone. It borders Minhou County and Changle City to the north, Nanling Town to the east, Yinxi Subdistrict across the Keluo Stream to the west, and the downtown area of Rongcheng to the south. The subdistrict is surrounded by mountains on three sides, with its southern entrance opening onto the Yinxi Plain, forming a shape resembling an inverted basket — narrow at the mouth and wide in the middle. To the north lies the Qingyan Mountain Range, to the west the Huwei Mountain Range, and to the east the Shipai Mountain Range.
