The Monument to Martyr Yu Changcheng is a cultural heritage protection unit of Fuqing City and a classic site of red tourism.

The Monument to Martyr Yu Changcheng is located in Yangxia Village, Yangxia Subdistrict, and dates back to the modern era.

In 1988, the Monument to Martyr Yu Changcheng was designated as a county-level cultural heritage protection unit.

Yangxia Village: Situated outside the north gate of Fuqing, about four kilometers from the city center, local lore has it that the original Yangxia Village covered an area stretching along the foothills from Xiadi Mountain to Wajiaodou. It was home to ninety-nine households, where villagers worked from sunrise to sunset, making a living through farming all year round—living a life of peace and contentment.

Today, Yangxia Village has 737 households and a population of over 2,400. The village jurisdiction includes four natural villages: Hotel, Danpu, Xinmeicuo, and Dangdou. It enjoys convenient geographic and transportation access, with numerous factories lining the roads. It is also a former revolutionary base area.
