Wudang Annex

Wudang Annex is a cultural relics protection unit of Fuqing City.

Wudang Annex is located in Suancun Village, Xincuo Town, and dates back to the Ming Dynasty.

In 1988, Wudang Annex was designated as a county-level cultural relics protection unit.

Xincuo Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Fuqing City. Established as Xincuo Commune in 1961, restructured as a township in 1984, and upgraded to a town in 1992. It is situated in the southwestern part of the city, 26 kilometers from the city center. The town covers an area of 66.5 square kilometers with a population of 28,000. Provincial Highway Fuxia passes through the area, and water transport is available. It administers 16 village committees: Donglou, Mianting, Suancun, Xincuo, Shuangyu, Jiaxia, Aizao, Xipu, Jiangdou, Dongwo, Qilin, Fengji, Dao’ao, Jiatao, Fengtou, and Qiaowei. Major enterprises include power plants, chemical factories, salt manufacturers, and garment factories.
