The inscriptions at Xianjing Rock are located in Moshi Village, Jingyang Town, dating back to the Ming Dynasty.

In 1988, the inscriptions at Xianjing Rock were designated as a county-level cultural heritage site.

Jingyang Town: Historical Development

Jingyang Town got its name from being surrounded by mountains on all sides with a flat valley floor as smooth as a mirror in the center. In May 1961, the Jingyang People's Commune was established; in 1984, it was restructured from a commune to a township; and in October 1993, it was upgraded from a township to a town. It currently administers 17 administrative villages and one residential committee, with a permanent population of 26,000 and a floating population of 30,000.
