The Former Site of the Longtian Party Branch is located in Longtian Village, Guhuai Town, Changle District.

In September 1930, the Third Plenary Session of the Sixth Central Committee of the Communist Party of China criticized Li Sanli’s “Left” opportunistic errors; in November, the Fujian Provincial Committee of the CPC instructed all local party organizations to immediately abolish the Action Committees and restore the original party and league organizational systems.

Following the directives from the Central Committee, the Fuzhou Central City Committee of the CPC focused its work on restoring and developing the party organization. In June 1931, the Fuzhou Central City Committee dispatched Communist Party member Lin Wenteng, along with three students, to travel between Fuzhou and Changle. They engaged with the masses, promoted Marxism-Leninism, spread revolutionary ideas, and carried out revolutionary activities. In December 1931, Zheng Changhe joined the Communist Party of China in Fuzhou, introduced by Lin Wenteng. In January and February of the following year, Zheng Changhe was sent back to his hometown, Guhuai Longtian Village, by the Fuzhou Municipal Committee to engage in peasant movement activities. After returning home, Zheng Changhe actively promoted rent and interest reductions, mobilized the masses, and organized peasant association groups and guerrilla squads. He served as the leader of the peasant association group and the commander of the guerrilla squad, with members including Zheng Yiwu, Huang Jinmei, and over 20 others. Soon after, Lin Wenteng returned to Guhuai to work with Zheng Changhe, during which six more people, including Zheng Yiwu and Huang Jinmei, were recruited into the Party. In April 1932, the first Communist Party branch in the Guhuai area of Changle—the Longtian Party Branch—was established, with Zheng Changhe serving as secretary. The branch began organizing peasant associations in the region and launching rent reduction struggles, making Longtian one of the main base villages of the old revolutionary base areas in Changle. In January 1934, Lin Wenteng sacrificed his life during the battle to attack Mabi in Lianjiang. The Fuzhou Municipal Committee of the CPC then assigned Chen Yizhang to liaise with and assign tasks to Zheng Changhe. On December 8, 1936, Zheng Changhe was arrested and imprisoned. With the loss of leadership, the Party Branch became inactive and its activities were suspended. The site was later damaged after the liberation.

Longtian Village: Longtian Village is located at the foot of Dongfeng Mountain. It was formerly part of Lianfeng Li in Shan Zheng Township, and during the Yuan Dynasty, it belonged to Xin Tuan Jing of the Eleventh District, First and Second Maps, as well as the Yuanming West Jing. It governs four natural villages: Longtian, Jingnan, Gangwei, and Dongcuo. It borders Wenzhusha to the east, leans against Dongfeng Mountain to the west, neighbors Zhongjie Village to the south, and reaches Yantang Village to the north. The village has 905 households and a population of 2,996. It covers a total area of 2.9 square kilometers, including 3,378 mu of forested land and 1,027 mu of arable land. In 2013, the per capita income of farmers was 6,898 yuan. From 2011 to 2013, the village’s fiscal revenue was 1,185,327 yuan.
