The Red Army Martyrs' Cemetery in Jianghu is a cultural heritage site protected by Jin’an District.

The Red Army Martyrs' Cemetery in Jianghu is located in Jianghu Village, Huanxi Town. In July 1934, the Northern Expeditionary Force to Resist Japan, composed of over 6,000 soldiers from the Red Army’s 7th Corps including the 7th Army itself, set out from Ruijin under the leadership of Xun Huizu, Yue Shaohua, Su Yu, Liu Ying, and Central Committee representative Zeng Hongyi. They arrived in Fuzhou on August 7. At 11 p.m. that night, they launched an attack on Fuzhou but suffered a setback, and withdrew from the battle in the early hours of September 9. On August 10, after a day-long fierce battle with the 52nd Regiment of the 261st Brigade of the Nationalist Army’s 87th Division in the Wutong Mountain area of Jianghu, the Expeditionary Force decided to withdraw completely from the battlefield and move to the Lianluo Soviet Area due to the arrival of large numbers of enemy reinforcements. The battle was extremely intense, with over 600 Red Army soldiers killed or wounded. In 1995, local villagers built the Red Army Martyrs’ Cemetery at the site of the battle to commemorate the revolutionary martyrs who sacrificed their lives. In June 2002, the cemetery was designated as a cultural heritage site protected by Jin’an District People’s Government.
