Angu Stone Pavilion

Angu Stone Pavilion, located east of Dongshan Village at Yanfengding in Tuzhai Town, Hui’an County, was built during the Duan'gong era of the Northern Song Dynasty (988–989 AD) as a shelter along an ancient road. The pavilion is square-shaped, facing south, and measures three bays wide (7.85 meters) and three bays deep (8.7 meters). It is supported by 16 thick square stone pillars, with 12 eave pillars each measuring 0.4 meters in side length and 2.4 meters in height.

The four corners between the golden eave pillars are connected by sloped stone beams, featuring bracket sets, and the roof is a four-sloped stone slab structure. During the Guangxu era of the Qing Dynasty (1875–1908), the pavilion was renovated with the addition of a double-eave hip-and-gable roof, along with the expansion of an offering pavilion and a mountain gate. The site was dedicated to the Goddess Guanyin, transforming the shelter into a Guanyin Pavilion. In 1996, it was designated as a fourth batch provincial-level cultural heritage site by the People’s Government of Fujian Province.
