In Hui'an County, the "China Sculpture Art City" is located in one of China's top 100 counties by economic strength, within the renowned overseas Chinese hometown of Hui'an, Fujian. It is situated at the center of National Highway 324 between Fuzhou and Xiamen, 9 kilometers from the Huangtang interchange of the Fuzhou-Xiamen Expressway. It is one of the few large enterprises in China that combines the development, production, display, trade, and tourism of sculpture artworks.

The Sculpture Art City covers an area of 108 mu, with a total investment of 98 million RMB. The first phase occupies 52 mu, with a built-up area of 27,931 square meters. It features a large processing area for high-end stone carving crafts, along with supporting product exhibition halls. The stone carving processing area is divided into shadow carving production, small handicrafts processing, and large stone carving sections. Along the Fuzhou-Xiamen Highway, there is also a multi-functional commercial center.

The Sculpture Art City was completed in December 1999 and opened to the public. It is now fully managed by the "Hui'an County China Sculpture Art City Development Co., Ltd." The center regularly organizes the development, production, information exchange, technical discussions, exhibitions, and orders for eight major categories of products from stone carving and stone material enterprises across the country, including memorial stones, building materials and components, craft carvings, garden sculptures, stone machinery and abrasives, new types of stone, environmental protection technologies and equipment for the stone industry, wood carvings and resin crafts, and travel souvenirs. It has successfully hosted the First and Second China Quanzhou (Hui'an) International Stone Carving and Stone Material Expos, the China Hui'an Traditional Carving Competition, the First "Hui Women Style" Travel Souvenir Design and Production Competition, and the First China Sculpture Art Festival, among other major events and art exchanges. It has received hundreds of thousands of merchants and tourists from home and abroad, with its technological, artistic, and commercial influence extending to over 30 countries and regions. In 2001, the Sculpture Art City achieved an annual operating revenue of 300 million RMB and provided jobs for over 5,000 people across various positions.

Hui'an China Sculpture Art City has become an uniquely influential specialized market for sculpture art in China's southeastern coastal region.
