The Memorial Hall of the Revolutionary Base in Wuliu Village, Wangchuan is a classic red tourism destination and a patriotic education base.

The memorial hall is located on the former site of Xingmin Primary School. According to Mr. Liu, the village Party secretary of Wuliu Village, the old Xingmin Primary School was one of the most important revolutionary bases in Hui’an. It was established in the late 1920s and was originally named “Xishan Primary School.” During the Second Revolutionary Civil War period, underground Party members of Hui’an such as Lan Feihe taught here, using the school as an underground activity base to carry out revolutionary activities. To awaken the public, Lan Feihe also renamed the school “Xingmin Primary School.”

Xingmin Primary School was later closed due to the war, and after reopening, it was named “Wuliu Primary School.” In 1983, to commemorate the revolutionary struggle history of the people in the old revolutionary base areas, its original name “Xingmin Primary School” was restored.

Wuliu Village: The Wuliu Village Committee is located in the southeast of Wangchuan Town, bordering Nanxing Village to the north, Sheba Village of Tuzhai Town to the south, Donghu Village of Dongqiao Town to the east, and Kengnan Village to the west.

With a population of over 3,000, the people here are hardworking, kind, and hospitable. The area enjoys convenient transportation and is suitable for development.

Wuliu Village is a revolutionary old base area where many locals participated in the War of Resistance Against Japan and the Liberation War.
