Baiqi Guo Ancestral Temple

The Baiqi Guo Ancestral Temple is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Fujian Province.

The Baiqi Guo Ancestral Temple is located in Baiqi Village, Baiqi Hui Ethnic Township, Taiwan Investment Zone, Quanzhou City, dating back to the Qing Dynasty and the Republican Era.

Introduction: Known as the "Xuanwei Mansion" in history and commonly referred to as the "Great Ancestral Hall," the Guo Ancestral Temple is the grand ancestral hall of the entire Baiqi Hui ethnic group. It was first built in the seventh year of the Ming Xuande era (1432), and the existing structure was constructed from the first year of the Qing Xuantong era (1909) to the seventeenth year of the Republic of China (1928). The building has a rectangular floor plan, with five bays, and a mixed structure of wood, stone, and brick. It is 17.6 meters wide and 37.6 meters deep, with a construction area of approximately 660 square meters and a site area of about 800 square meters. It consists of the main hall, lower hall, courtyard, side rooms, and front courtyard. The central hall features a post-and-lintel wooden frame and a flush-gable roof.

In 2018, the Baiqi Guo Ancestral Temple was designated as part of the ninth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage sites by the People's Government of Fujian Province.
