The Zheng Family Ancestral Temple in Shiwei is a cultural relic protection unit of Hui’an County.

The Zheng Family Ancestral Temple in Shiwei is located in Shiwei Natural Village, Dingchitu Village, Zishan Town, and dates from the Ming Dynasty to the modern era.

Originally built during the Tianqi era of the Ming Dynasty (1621–1627), it was later abandoned and rebuilt in the late Qing and early Republican periods. The temple faces south and features a two-courtyard, three-bay layout with a flush-gable roof and swallowtail ridges. It covers a construction area of 215 square meters. The stone-paved courtyard in front spans an area of 100 square meters, surrounded by walls. The temple preserves three stone inscriptions: a Tang Dynasty stele inscribed with “Spirit Way of Liu Gong, Imperial Herald of the Tang,” one stele commemorating the donation by Monk Sizhao of the Zuns heng Monastery at Kaiyuan Temple in the Southern Song Dynasty for the construction of a banyan platform and bridge-road repairs, and a door plaque from the “Jinglian Tower,” the former residence of Zheng Yixin, a successful candidate in the imperial examinations of the Ming Jiajing era.

The Zheng Family Ancestral Temple in Shiwei is the 11th batch of county-level cultural relic protection units in Hui’an County.

Protected area: bordered by roads on the east, west, and north; the southern boundary extends 2 meters outward from the stone-paved courtyard wall.

Zishan Town: Zishan Town is located in the northwest of Hui’an County, Quanzhou City, Fujian Province. It had a population of 35,038 as of the end of 2003. The town administers 15 administrative villages. The town government is headquartered in Wenghou. The area includes the site of the Qiu Erniang Uprising and the natural karst cave temple known as Yipianwa Temple, built during the Ming Dynasty.
