The former site of the Hui’an Uprising Preparatory Committee – Former Residence of Hu Wenbing is a cultural relic protection unit of Hui’an County and a classic red tourism attraction.

The former site of the Hui’an Uprising Preparatory Committee – Former Residence of Hu Wenbing is located in Hudaitou Natural Village, Hudaitou Village, Dongling Town, dating back to the Republican Era to modern times.

The former site of the Hui’an Uprising Preparatory Committee, i.e., the former residence of Hu Wenbing, Chairman of the Soviet Government of Hudaitou Village, is located within the Memorial Hall of the Hudaitou Soviet Government. It was originally built in 1916, faces west and is situated eastward, featuring a three-bay single-entry layout, with a structure of brick, stone, and wood, a flush-gable roof, rammed earth inner walls, and an exterior constructed of interlocking stones, covering an area of 40 square meters. In July 1930, Luo Ming, Secretary of the Fujian Provincial Committee, inspected various locations in the Quanzhou area and held a meeting here to review the preparatory work for the Hui’an Uprising. It was renovated in 2016. Hu Wenbing (1900–1962), a native of Hudaitou Village, Dongling, joined the Second Regiment of the First Independent Division of the Fujian Red Army in 1930. During the Hui’an Uprising, he helped establish the Soviet Government of Hudaitou Village and served as its chairman. After the defeat at the Yutoushan Battle, he changed his name and went into hiding, living in Xiamen.

The former site of the Hui’an Uprising Preparatory Committee – Former Residence of Hu Wenbing is listed as the 11th batch of county-level cultural relic protection units in Hui’an County.

Protected area: bounded by the outer walls of residential houses to the east, west, and north, and by the enclosing wall of the Memorial Hall of the Hudaitou Soviet Government to the south.

Hudaitou Village: Located in the central part of Dongling Town, Hudaitou Village is 3 kilometers from the town government seat. It borders Dongtuzhai Town to the east, Dongshan Village to the west, Qianlin Village to the south, and Daqiu Village to the north, covering a total area of 1.23 square kilometers. The village has a registered population of nearly 3,000, with over two-thirds surnamed Xin and the remainder surnamed Wu. The Wu family migrated to the current Linghou Ancestral Hall from Wudu, Anxi in 1022 AD, boasting a history of 985 years across 38 generations. They are descendants of Wu Yin, who served as the Guangzhou Prefect during the Jin Dynasty and later as the Golden Purple Guanglu Grand Master. The Xin family moved from Luoshan Town, Quanzhou in 1404 AD, with a history of 604 years across 22 generations.
