Hui’an Revolutionary History Memorial Hall

The Hui’an County Revolutionary History Memorial Hall is located in Ruidong Village, Tuzhai Town, Hui’an County. The monument was built in 1997. It is situated in Keshan Park, Luocheng Town, Hui’an County, adjacent to the Revolutionary Martyrs Monument.

To fully showcase the glorious revolutionary journey of the people of Hui’an from December 1926 to August 23, 1949, under the leadership of the Communist Party of China—marked by unyielding struggle, an undying revolutionary spirit, and the unwavering red flag—the Hui’an County People’s Government commenced construction of the Hui’an County Revolutionary History Memorial Hall in July 2007, completing it in 2008.

The memorial covers a floor area of 1,277.2 square meters, with a protected area of approximately 4,800 square meters. The first floor exhibition hall displays the glorious revolutionary history of the people of Hui’an from December 1926 to August 23, 1949, and opened to the public on January 1, 2011.

Ruidong Village: Tuzhai Town’s Ruidong Revolutionary Base Village is located at the northeastern tip of the town, neighboring Yutou Village in Dongqiao Town. It administers five natural villages: Tulou, Tahou, Citang, Xiaxia, and Qiankeng. The village has a total population of 4,878, with mountainous land spanning 1,600 mu and arable land covering 1,500 mu. In 2009, the village’s gross production value reached 95.87 million yuan, with a per capita net income of 7,850 yuan and village fiscal revenue of 48,000 yuan.

Ruidong Village was originally named “Chicheng.” Due to its remote location and inconvenient transportation, it served as a base for underground revolutionary activities during the War of Resistance, giving rise to a large number of revolutionaries and veterans of underground work...
