Fu'an Grape Valley is located in Xitai Village. Xitai Village in Fu'an is renowned for its beautiful mountains and streams, the unique charm of the She ethnic culture, and the grapevines that line the streams and creeks, earning it the title "Grape Valley of the South." The mountains are covered with ancient trees that block out the sun, while streams converge nearby and flow southward. What’s particularly astonishing is that the vine trellises in the valleys are covered with lush thorn grapevines, spreading over the water, stretching for miles, forming a uniquely beautiful and breathtaking Grape Valley landscape found only in the south.

The villagers of Xitai all bear the surname Lan. They are warm and simple-hearted. Their ancestors migrated here during the Wanli era of the Ming Dynasty, making it the main birthplace of the She ethnic group with the Lan surname in eastern Fujian, known as "Xitai Lan." The preserved residences, ancient pavilions, covered bridges, unique rocks, and well-maintained traditional customs in the village all highlight the magical charm of the She people. During traditional She festivals such as the "Third Month Third," the air is filled with the aroma of purple rice, She songs echo back and forth, and golden dances and silver ornaments create a spectacular sight.
