Guilin Wang Family Ancestral Hall

The Guilin Wang Family Ancestral Hall is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Fujian Province.

The Guilin Wang Family Ancestral Hall is located in Guilin Village, Muyun Township, Fu’an City, dating back to the Qing Dynasty.

Description: Originally built in the 13th year of the Wanli reign during the Ming Dynasty (1585) and rebuilt in the 22nd year of the Guangxu reign of the Qing Dynasty (1896), it faces east and consists of a gate tower, theater stage, ancestral hall chamber, and main ancestral hall, covering an area of 1,612 square meters. All four individual structures feature post-and-lintel and raised-beam style frameworks, interconnected by side rooms, courtyards, and enclosing walls. The roof styles include a pavilion-style roof, hip-and-gable roof, gable-and-hip roof, and gable-and-hip roof with swallowtail ridge; the pavilion, theater stage, and main ancestral hall all have caisson ceilings.

In 2013, the Guilin Wang Family Ancestral Hall was designated as part of the eighth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage sites by the People’s Government of Fujian Province.

Protected area: Extends 10 meters outward on the east, south, and north sides of the hall, and 20 meters outward on the west side.
