Dongkeng Pagoda

Dongkeng Pagoda is a cultural relic protection unit of Fu'an City.

Dongkeng Pagoda is located in Dongkeng Village, Tantou Town, Fu'an City. Dating back to the Song Dynasty, it is categorized as an ancient architectural structure.

It is situated on Pagoda Hill in Dongkeng Village, Taifeng Village. Initially built during the Song Dynasty, it faces southeast with its back to the northwest. The stone structure consists of seven stories and four corners, with a total height of 2.23 meters, a spire height of 0.61 meters, a base height of 0.46 meters, a width of 1.15 meters, and covers an area of 2.56 square meters. Each side of the pagoda’s body on every level is carved with relief sculptures of Buddhas. The current positioning of the pagoda body shows some displacement, and some parts may be missing. However, both the shape and carving techniques of the pagoda date back to the early Song Dynasty, making it of significant value for the study of stone pagoda craftsmanship and folk culture in the region.

On February 20, 2013, the People's Government of Fu'an City designated it as a municipal-level cultural relic protection unit in the fifth batch.

Located in the northern part of the city, it is 18 kilometers from the municipal government.
